So, here's a lowdown of what's confirmed so far for after the summer....

Just a note to say a big 'thanks' to everyone that came out to the Obituary & Hate Eternal shows. It's a tough time of the year with festivals coming up, exams etc. so both DME and all of the bands really appreciates every single person that hit these shows. It's especially the real fans that come out on a rainy Wednesday night for a death metal barrage and it really is appreciated by everyone. Cheers!

Lastly, by no means least, the mighty Opeth will return to Dublin on November 18th. They will play Vicar St. as part of a massive tour in support of the brand new 'Watershed' opus, out now on Roadrunner Records. See 'future' for full info...

Yes, Gus G (also of Dream Evil) and his troops will make their Irish debut in September at Fibber Magees on Parnell St. This Greek power metal outfit is really starting to make a name for itself and this promises to be a very intimate evening of quality metal. Supports to be announced soon. Tickets are €15 inc. bkg. fee and on the door and are on sale online now and in the shops in the next few days.

Sonata Arctica's show in The Button Factory on April 26th will now be 14+ (accompanied by adult) as opposed to the previous 18+. A full bar will still be available to over 18's. No special tickets are needed - wristbands will be used on the night to control the bar.

Death Metal Kings Nile make a long awaited return to Ireland in September in support of their latest 'Ithyphallic' release. Grave and Belphegor in tow make this one of the best touring packages of the year.

Finnish metal heroes Children Of Bodom will play their first headlining Irish show on Wednesday 11th June in Vicar St. This is an all ages event and tickets, priced €30 inc. bkg fee, will be on sale via Ticketmaster from 9am this Friday.

Yes, New York's finest will play Dublin's Voodoo Lounge on Saturday 19th April. Support from Putrefy and Nephridium with 1 more band to be added. Full info. on the 'future' page.

UK thrash sensations Evile will be the main support on the upcoming Exodus Euro Tour. This of course hits Voodoo on April 10th. The bands made it's Irish debut supporting Machine Head a few months back and should make themselves even more friends with this support slot. Check them out at www.myspace.com/evileuk

Nightwish tickets continue to sell very well and are down to the last few hundred. So you know what to do if you want to see Nightwish + Pain in Vicar St. on Thurs. 3rd April. In other news, Relapse grinders MAN MUST DIE will be the opening band on the HATE ETERNAL / CEPHALIC CARNAGE / SKELETONWITCH tour. Check all of the bands out via the 'future' page.

For those of you wanting to sit on the balcony for this show, the tickets are now on sale for these seats. Downstairs is nearly sold out - about 30 downstairs standing left through Ticketmaster and then about 50 or so still in Sound Cellar and Sentinel. After that, it'll be only seating or standing upstairs.

Please note that this show is not sold out yet. Tickets were offline on Ticketmaster for a while due to the ground floor selling out. However, some more ground floor tickets have now been released. Once they sell, the balcony will be released. Tickets available from Ticketmaster now.

2008 is starting to take shape now with some confirmations just in. Check them out below. These are all on sale now from tickets.ie (link on left panel) and will be in the shops soon.

To make the night more complete, we will have the 'famed' DJ NECROHAMMER (Sol Axis, Cruachan) manning the decks in The Button Factory following the PRIMORDIAL set. So don't dash off needlessly as it'll be a full night of metal on offer. Remember to get to the show early as Graveyard Dirt will hit the stage at 7.30pm.
