Firewind Venue Change / Abgott & Keep Of Kalessin

The Firewind show will now be in Whelans, Wexford St. Existing tickets remain valid.

A new show just confirmed is Italian/UK black metal outfit Abgott along with Norway's awesome Keep Of Kalessin. They will play Fibber Magees on September 17th and the full lineup will be confirmed soon. Tickets will be €15. Check them out at...

Obituary & Hate Eternal Thanks / Firewind Support / Opeth Announcement

Just a note to say a big 'thanks' to everyone that came out to the Obituary & Hate Eternal shows. It's a tough time of the year with festivals coming up, exams etc. so both DME and all of the bands really appreciates every single person that hit these shows. It's especially the real fans that come out on a rainy Wednesday night for a death metal barrage and it really is appreciated by everyone. Cheers!

Firewind - Fibber Magees - 22nd September

Yes, Gus G (also of Dream Evil) and his troops will make their Irish debut in September at Fibber Magees on Parnell St. This Greek power metal outfit is really starting to make a name for itself and this promises to be a very intimate evening of quality metal. Supports to be announced soon. Tickets are €15 inc. bkg. fee and on the door and are on sale online now and in the shops in the next few days.

Suffocation Venue Change

Due to reasons beyond our control, the venue for next Saturday's SUFFOCATION show is now Fibber Magees on Parnell St. Existing tickets remain valid and all other details remain the same too. It's a smaller venue so advance purchase is recommended. However, tickets will (as always) be available on the door, barring an unlikely advance sell out.

Sonata Arctica's show in The Button Factory on April 26th will now be 14+ (accompanied by adult) as opposed to the previous 18+. A full bar will still be available to over 18's. No special tickets are needed - wristbands will be used on the night to control the bar.

Suffocation To Return To Dublin

Evile To Support Exodus

UK thrash sensations Evile will be the main support on the upcoming Exodus Euro Tour. This of course hits Voodoo on April 10th. Nightwish + Pain - Ticket Update

For those of you wanting to sit on the balcony for this show, the tickets are now on sale for these seats. Downstairs is nearly sold out - about 30 downstairs standing left through Ticketmaster and then about 50 or so still in Sound Cellar and Sentinel. After that, it'll be only seating or standing upstairs.

DJ Necrohammer

To make the night more complete, we will have the 'famed' DJ NECROHAMMER (Sol Axis, Cruachan) manning the decks in The Button Factory following the PRIMORDIAL set. So don't dash off needlessly as it'll be a full night of metal on offer. Remember to get to the show early as Graveyard Dirt will hit the stage at 7.30pm.

2007 - Thanks / Next Up

Just a quick note to say 'thanks' to everyone that came out to any of the shows during '07. 25 gigs which can be viewed on the 'past' page. Big thanks to my faithful steeds - Mr. Samuel Satan, Mr. Walter Rees, Mr. Woody Sausage and anyone else that helped out in any way. Anyways, cheers again and here's to another year of metal under the DME banner. Onwards and upwards....
