Stand Up and Shout was formed in Seattle in 2007. The band is dedicated to helping keep the legacy of Ronnie in the minds and the ears of generations to come.
We believe in the power music has to provide strength, support and power to the individual. This band is a labour of love and we do this with humility in the greatness of his shadow.
We appreciate his fans sharing their love and support ...of our efforts, but we all realize that this more about Ronnie than about us. While we work hard and use our own hard earned money to support this band and bring this music to his fans, we realize that someday there may come a time when the band is self supporting because of that love you share with us. To that end, Dio Rising is committed to giving a percentage of all net revenue that we earn in Ronnies name to causes that we believe he would have approved of. Causes like music programs for at-risk youths, the Stand Up and Shout cancer fund, Children of the Night and the Ronnie James Dio Courtland High School Music Scholarship Fund and others.
